Production Team
Shane has been involved with St Mary’s Musical Society since 2015. In that time with SMMS he has played roles in The Wedding Singer, Jesus Christ Superstar and Made in Dagenham. He has also tread the boards with Trim Musical Society, Trim Drama Group and Navan Theatre Group. This is Shane’s first time directing in Navan. He would like to thank committee, cast and crew for all their help and hard work over the past few months. He would also like to wish the amazing Cinderella cast the best of luck in the run.
Deirdre has been a member of St. Mary’s Musical Society since 2002 when she played Maid Marion in Robin Hood. Since then she has choreographed and performed in many of St. Mary’s pantos, shows and fundraisers. She was choreographer for Beauty and the Beast (2011), Aladdin (2012), Cinderella (2013), Rapunzel (2014) and also their main production of Nunsense (2011).
Deirdre is delighted to be back as choreographer for this year’s panto and would like to say a big thanks to everyone for all their hard work over the past few months. Break a leg everyone!
Tina is back again with SMMS as Musical Director - it’s been a while and she is delighted to be part of the madness and mayhem once again! She would like to thank her amazing panto partners Dee and Shane and all the wonderful cast and crew for their hard work, patience and dedication. She hopes you all enjoy the show.
Cast
Áine Farrelly is the owner of Elite Stage School, which she founded in 2019. The school now offers weekly classes in Wilkinstown, Gibbstown, and Slane Community Centres.
A graduate of BIMM College Dublin (Europe’s most connected music institute). Áine also completed The Irish Playwriting Course at The Gaiety School of Acting and The Musical Theatre Course at The Lir National Academy of Dramatic Art, Trinity College Dublin.
She has choreographed and produced numerous musicals with primary and secondary schools across Meath, Cavan, and Dublin, including Matilda Jr., Oliver Jr., School of Rock, and All Shook Up!
Áine is currently developing her dance training with METTA Company, mentored by Amy Ford. Áine believes that “we should never stop learning, up-skilling and challenging ourselves.”
She is delighted to return for her second Panto with SMMS and would like to thank the production team and wish the very best of luck to everyone involved. Enjoy the show!
Ultan has been a member of St Mary’s Musical Society, Navan since 2011, playing roles such as Joe / Josephine from Some Like it Hot, Dennis from All Shook Up, and Peter from Jesus Christ Superstar.
He has been involved in many Pantos with SMMS, and directed and co-wrote 2023’s The Little Mermaid Panto. Ultan is so excited to be back on the stage this year as Buttons and hopes you all have a ball!
Sinead made her broadcast debut at aged 9 and has been fostering a cross-continental career as a performer and professional vocalist since in venues such as The Sydney Opera House, The National Concert Hall, the Olympia Theatre, Forest Fest main stage, The British & American Embassy’s, the Burj Khalifa grand opening (Dubai), BP 100 years, Chivas Regal 50 years with Sir David Frost and the Abu Dhabi Formula 1. Theatre credits are vast, and with SMMS include Nancy in Oliver, Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar, and Rosalita in West Side Story.
Sinead is thrilled to be playing the *evil* mother figure again this year, after the fun of last years performance as Mother Gothel in Rapunzel. Sinead has loved every minute of this year’s experience (especially as her daughter is joining her onstage this year in the kids chorus!) and wishes all her fellow cast mates a sensational run and hopes you enjoy the show!
Aoife rejoined SMMS for their recent production of Evita, marking her return to the stage after a 12-year hiatus. Her previous involvement with SMMS included roles in musicals such as Godspell, West Side Story, Jane Eyre, Copacabana and Little Shop Of Horrors. What Aoife loves most however, is doing the pantomime, where she has contributed as a choreographer, dancer and principal in various roles over the years.
She’s thrilled to be part of Cinderella alongside this wonderful cast and production team — and especially to share the stage again with some old friends!
Patrick is delighted to be returning to the SMMS Panto after a two-year break. Having previously taken to the stage as a mother to two princesses, he can’t wait to show his mean side this year as one of the stepsisters!
He has appeared in numerous SMMS productions including Cinderella, Rapunzel, Beauty and the Beast, Little Red Riding Hood and Snow White, as well as in the society’s fabulous musicals and cabarets. A member of Navan Theatre Group, and formerly of Trim Musical Society, Hammer and Nail Theatre Company, and DCU Drama Society, Patrick brings a wealth of experience and genuinely loves taking part in Navan panto as often as possible.He wishes everyone a very enjoyable show — but not too enjoyable… can’t seem too nice!
Ciarán has had a lifelong love of music, both singing and playing several instruments growing up. Having joined St. Mary’s Musical Society in 2022, Ciarán has performed in many SMMS productions such as Issachar in Joseph in 2023, Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid panto, Cortina Man in Made in Dagenham, and most recently as Needles in last years panto, Rapunzel.
Ciarán is delighted to be playing the part of Prince William this year and hopes you enjoy the show as much as he’s enjoyed rehearsals.
Tony joined SMMS back in 2019 for our production of Crazy for You, and has been threading the boards since. Most recently, Tony appeared as Harold Wilson in Made in Dagenham. He has been the villain ‘Jafar’ in Aladdin, ‘King Cole’ in Little Red Riding Hood, Dame Nanny Nanana in The Little Mermaid and Penny Perm in Rapunzel as well. Next year Tony will be appearing as Monsignor O’Hara in our production of Sister Act. Tony hopes everyone loves this wonderful production of Cinderella.
Lorraine is delighted to be returning to the stage after almost ten years away! She first performed with St. Mary’s Musical Society in Oliver! in 2000 as a youngster and has since appeared in numerous pantomimes, musicals, and cabarets over the years. Some memorable productions for her include Aladdin (2003), West Side Story (2006), and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (2009) with The Wedding Singer (2015) being one of her most enjoyable experiences on stage.
After taking time out to work abroad and start a family, Lorraine is thrilled to be back performing and reunited with so many familiar faces. She is absolutely buzzing to step into the magical role of Fairy Godmother and wishes the entire cast and production team the very best for a fantastic run — may all your wishes come true!
